Confidentiality

What you discuss in your sessions stays private. Angela will not disclose your personal or health information, or the fact that you are a client, to anyone without your consent — except in the limited circumstances described below where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

The information we collect

So that we can provide a safe, appropriate and effective service, we may collect:

• Your name, contact details and other identifying information;
• Relevant health, wellbeing and background information you choose to share;
• Session notes and records of the support provided;
• Enquiry and appointment details submitted through this website, by phone or by email.

We collect this information directly from you, and only what is reasonably necessary to provide our services.

How we use your information

Your information is used only to provide and support your hypnotherapy sessions, to communicate with you about appointments, and to meet our professional and legal obligations. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

How we keep it secure

We take the security of your information seriously and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes:

• Storing records confidentially, with access limited to Angela;
• Using password protection and secure systems for any digital records;
• Keeping any physical records in a secure location;
• Securely destroying or de-identifying information when it is no longer required to be kept.

When information may be shared

We will only disclose your information without your consent where we are required or permitted to do so by law — for example, where there is a serious and imminent risk to your life, health or safety or that of another person, where required by a court, or as otherwise authorised under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Online & video sessions

Online sessions are conducted using third-party video and communication platforms. While we take reasonable care to protect your privacy, these platforms operate under their own security and privacy terms, and the security of your own device and internet connection is your responsibility. Please let us know if you have any concerns and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Access & corrections

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, or if you have any privacy concern, please contact us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
